[ Jaune plucks a leaf out of Weiss' hair as he walks past her. ]

Busy trying to take my mind off things. I'm just looking for excuses to do things at this point.

[She reaches up to her hair when Jaune plucks the leaf. Her hands instinctively adjust the tiara in her hair.]

Yeah, I know how that feels...

[ Jaune lets go of the leaf, letting the wind carry it away. ... Also her answer didn't explain the leaf at all!! ]

Do you think that's even possible? [ He tried to use the fight club as a means of getting his mind off things, but it didn't work much in the long run. ]

[It's a leaf. She's not going to explain it.]

We can enjoy being together now all we want, but what's going on back home is going to hang over our heads no matter what we do.

You're right. I guess maybe the point is that we shouldn't forget all those terrible things that happened. Remembering the past to save the future kinda thing, y'know?

I just wish it wasn't so hard...

Yang sure isn't going to forget any time soon. I've been doing everything I can to cheer her up and I don't think it's working.

Really? But you're..... usually so good at that...

[ Is he teasing a little? Yes, but only because jokes are how he cheers people up, and he feels like Weiss could use a pick-me-up, too. ]

[ Wait, she wasn't supposed to agree with him! Also is that sarcasm? He doesn't want her to be self-depreciating - that's his schtick!! Jaune wonders if he had gone a little too far.

Perhaps encouragement is the better way to deal with this. ]

I was like that, you know, for a few weeks anyway. I dunno if I could find a way to smile, or say the words, but... I would've been thankful if you came by.

I shouldn't have made you promise me anything.

[ He put the burden on Weiss when he asked her to save Pyrrha. In reality, he should have been strong enough to do it on his own, and now he imagines Weiss and Ruby carry that guilt. ]

It's... nice that you trust me that much, at least. I was worried people were relying on me just because they had to.

Trust goes both ways, though. You gotta start trusting in the people who care about you, too.
