IN PARTICULAR. At school a few days later, Jaune will find himself the lucky recipient of a note folded origami-style in the shape of a sword and placed haphazardly on his desk.

The note reads like it looks ie. embarrassing as hell. It is also super clear from the soft texture of the paper how many times she re-wrote it before giving up and pulling the trigger! Flustered beyond belief! ]

[ This is exciting! Nobody has ever left him a note on his desk, it's something that only happens to the cool kids, wow! He's not even sure if he's seen origami in real life, but knows what it is when he sees it. He just needs to unfold it... carefully... which he does throughout the duration of an entire lesson (yes it took that long, shut up!!).

But, ah, there's the note, with no name attached to it, good job Rapunzel. Still, Rapunzel is the first person that comes to mind as soon as he finishes reading it... why is that? Could it be because he's hoping it's her? And why is it that the exact moment he does think of her, this stupid four-leaf clover falls out in front of him with a curiously coloured leaf that looks like something entirely else? Is this...

With less than a minute until the bell rings, Jaune already promptly stands up and leaves the class. Does she even have a uniform? Shoes??? What if the others already started picking on her?! He can picture some Cardin jerk pulling her hair and calling her a freak!

Well she does not have shoes that is for sure ah ha ha. Stranger is that no one seems to mind that she is just walking around in socks. Her hair too has been quite popular with ~the locals~ it seems. Finding her shouldn't be very hard. Even if most of said hair has been pulled up and out of the way (shout out to the hella sweet colonist who leant her the weaboo uniform and ponytail holder, yo). She's getting a tour from one of the instructor bots and clutching a schedule longer than Hermione Granger's. WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO YOURSELF.

[ Jaune comes from around the corner and does spot her fairly easily, but quickly hides behind the same corner again. Why the hell is he hiding?! It's another one of these weird impulses that always happen between them. It's likely because this is the first time he's actually seen her without any dirt or garbage on her, it's a bit of a shock he needs to recover from. Man, she's pretty...

And she thinks he's a badass.

T-This is going to be a problem. Rapunzel is so likeable and cool, if she ever realizes that he's none of those things, she might hang out with someone who actually happens to be badass. In school or otherwise.

That makes him sad, especially when looking at the four-leaf clover in his hand.

But never fear! Fake it 'til you make it, right? Jaune can totally be a badass! He'll just pop a chewing gum in his mouth (that's what badasses do, right?) and wait for her to approach the corner. In the meantime, he'll think of something cool to say, like, "I feel lucky today" or... or maybe a fact about water, like, "The human guy is made of 50% water", which is inaccurate but don't tell Jaune that. OH, HERE SHE COMES-- Jaune gets ready to come out and greet her the moment she's near.

Hrrrrkkk--!! [ Jaune accidentally swallows the gum and falls to his knees in a massive coughing fit. There might even be some tears, oh god. ]

The administration bot that's been patiently toting Rapunzel around campus and answering all her twittering questions PROBABLY BREAKS A FEW EARDRUMS with a high-pitched whistle of disapproval. There is also some snickering, yes, it's true.

Rapunzel herself just turns around. Her nerves are numb to failure.

[ At first she thinks he's serious, which sets her up for a serious frown/pout/whatever and an indignant foot stamp. Of course it is her work!!

But then it clicks: he got her message, oh, that's cool. She grins, then realises she must look like an idiot, stops, worries about him thinking she's mad at him for the choking thing, and grins again.

HAHAHAHA ]

Are you alive? [ akslfan ] I mean - are you okay. Wow, this is the first time we've met in person, isn't it? Heh. I think this robot is getting impatient or something.

Jaune recovers fairly quickly, standing up as he tries to seamlessly wipe a tear from his eye. Hopefully she didn't notice that. ]
